…does not always stay in Vegas!

I had the pleasure of attending the 2014 NAFCU Annual Conference at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas with my colleague Dave Schwieder. The lights and sounds of a city that doesn’t sleep was amazing within itself but the key note speakers on the importance of Planning, Regulatory Compliance, and Interest Rate Risk was definitely the right information to bring home and share with others. The conference was held from July 22 – 25, 2014, and from speaking with conference attendees, the expo was extremely productive and well presented. This was my first convention attendance and it was refreshing to get out there and meet others face to face to talk about what it takes to run their institution. Our discussions varied from the importance of understanding reporting and planning to the multiple roles they play at their institution to keep everything up and running. Whew, talk about a busy day!
